About

Matias Cevallos, or Mats, is an artist and music technologist from Quito, Ecuador, whose work explores the intersection of sound, technology, and inclusion. Driven by a belief in the transformative power of sound, Matias earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition from Universidad San Francisco de Quito and is completing a Master’s in Music Technology at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where their research focuses on making music more accessible for blind and low-vision individuals.

Matias’s work includes collaborations with organizations such as UNICEF, USAID, and the World Health Organization. Recent projects include interactive installations with M.E.A.T. (Music Experiments in Arts and Technology) that merge AI, sound, and perception, as well as dance collaborations including I Used to Live in the Mountains and A Place in Between, a multidisciplinary work exploring neurodivergence in the arts.
